Munnar is a hill station and town situated in the Idukki district of Kerala state of India. Munnar is situated at a height of 5000 feet above sea level. The name of this town comes from word ‘moon-aar’, which means joining of three rivers. Madupetti, Nallathanni and Periavaru are the three rivers that are passing through and meets each other in the Munnar town.

Mattupetti Dam: It is 10 km away from Munnar, it is also a picnic spot, where you can enjoy boating, fishing.
Echo point: 15 km away, there is small lake amidst of hills that point is known as echo point.
Elephant Arrival Spot: It is 18 km from Munnar, here you can take ride of elephant that normally charges rs 350 per person.
Kundala Lake: It is a beautiful lake where you can hire a pedal boat and experience boating in jungle areas.
Tata Tea Museum: It is 2 km from munnar, people can see how tea is produced in factory, and there are 75 /- charge.
